Our Story
Yvette enjoyed an incredible internship working for prestigious fashion houses Adrienne Winkelmann and Gucci. Spending over a decade styling business men and women, politicians, entrepreneurs and dignitaries through the salons and styling suites of leading brands.
Dressing many levels of leadership at both Winkelmann and Gucci offered her valuable insight into the professionalism and discretion needed to work with those in such senior roles. Her time living in Europe saw her passion for all things sartorial taken to a new level.
IT WAS on work secondments TO PARIS, ITALY AND ANTWERP THAT YVETTE was educated in the rich history of European tailoring, styling and service excellence.
During her time abroad, Yvette began to piece together ideas for a new business and the role of ‘bespoke dresser’ that resembles a personal attendant for the individual and their seasonal wardrobe.
With support and planning from her business mentor Stephen, the origins of a Bespoke brand began to form in 2014. The next year Yvette launched a new Styling and Wardrobe Care business to New Zealand aptly named The Bespoke Dresser®.
Always innovating, the brand expanded it’s offering to include Bespoke Concierge - the time savvy way for busy individuals to update their wardrobes from the comfort of home.
Today, The Bespoke Dresser® is the trusted resource for sound, unbiased counsel on dressing for all occasions.
